| Florida Angler Television - Ten Years On The Water |
| Florida Angler is a half-hour television program dedicated to showcasing the angling possibilities in and around the Sunshine State. The program made its local debut on May 24, 1996, as The Fishing and Outdoors Report. It has run continuously since that time in its present time slot, Friday nights at 8:00 P.M. At present, the program reaches more than 110,000 homes in Citrus, Marion and portions of Sumter and Hernando counties. In Citrus County the show airs on WYKE-TV 49 and is picked up by Bright House and Adelphia cable systems. The Program also airs in the Ocala area on the Cox Cable system where it reaches approximately 32,000 homes at 7:00 PM Wednesdays. On October 5th, 2003, the program started airing in the Gainesville area Sundays at 11:30 AM where it reaches in excess of 60,000 homes. In the intervening seven years we have developed a loyal audience which continues to grow weekly. It is a target audience of anglers, outdoor enthusiasts and their friends and families. At present the program is filmed on location in various parts of the state and faithfully depicts the current angling action in those locations. |
